The dress making class is ideal for someone who has intermediate dressmaking skills, you should be comfortable using a sewing machine and have made simple projects such as cushions or bags.

Key skills learned throughout this course;

Measuring, adjusting and pattern cutting
Fabric Properties & grain lines
Seams, garment construction, pleats, darts, sleeves and pockets (depending on pattern and style chosen)
Fitting a concealed zip
Hemming and finishing

Class sizes are kept small to ensure everyone has plenty of attention and guidance and there may be a small amount of homework required each week. 

By the end of this course you will have a fabulous made to measure dress, skirt, trousers, jacket etc. and will be able to follow a dress making pattern to make many more clothes for yourself.
