Intermediate Sewing Workshop

Our Intermediate Sewing Workshop is perfect for those who already have basic sewing experience or who have completed a beginner’s sewing course and are ready to develop their skills further. Participants should feel confident setting up and threading a sewing machine and have previously completed a simple project, such as a cushion cover.

During this hands-on workshop, you will create a beautifully finished lined make-up or wash bag complete with a zip fastening — the ideal project for building confidence and refining your sewing techniques.

You will expand on the foundations learned in a beginner’s class, including machine set-up, bobbin winding, threading, and controlling stitch speed and direction, by progressing to more detailed skills such as:

  • Inserting a zip

  • Sewing with lining

  • Accurate cutting techniques

  • Precision stitching and finishing

This workshop is designed to help you take the next step in your sewing journey and prepare you for more advanced projects, including our dressmaking classes where you can begin making your own garments.
