Embroidery Workshops at Dr Neil's Garden

Botanical Embroidery Class

Edinburgh. Edinburgh Sewcial Club. Ebroidered Flowers.jpg

The Edinburgh Sewcial Club is venturing out of the sewing studio into the wonderful Dr Neil's Garden!

Dr Neil's Garden is called 'Edinburgh's Secret Garden' - a place of peace and tranquillity for contemplation, meditation, and inspiration. We have booked the potting shed, which overlooks the gorgeous garden where we can stay cosy and dry if needed.

If the weather is fair and nice, the garden offers a multitude of seating areas amongst the most beautiful garden space. We are holding our botanical embroidery classes over three weekends - Spring, Summer, and Autumn - so we can observe the seasons and the changes within the garden.

During this workshop, we'll work on colour blending using the satin stitch/long and short stitch, which will help you really bring your embroidery to life. It's like you are painting with thread!

You'll have ample time to enjoy the garden whilst getting creative, mindful, and having an amazingly relaxing experience.

There will only be three places in each class - a great chance to spend time with friends and share a craft together, or come along solo and meet other like-minded crafters.

Hope you can make it along!
